Privacy & Consent
Last updated June 2026
Your trust is the product. Inception only works if trainers feel safe recording and buyers can rely on clean, consented data. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and the control you keep.
1. What we collect
We collect three kinds of information:
- Account data, your email, wallet address for payouts, and basic profile details.
- Submitted video, the clips you choose to record and submit for a task, plus the metadata attached to them (task type, device, timestamps).
- Usage data, how you interact with the platform, used to improve it and prevent abuse.
2. Consent is per clip
You decide what to record and explicitly consent to how each clip may be used at the moment you submit it. We never assume a blanket right to your likeness. You can decline any task, and you can withdraw consent for future use of your content at any time.
3. Protecting your identity
Many tasks only require your hands and a work surface, not your face. Where faces or identifying details appear, we offer face and background blurring. You are always shown what a buyer will receive before you submit.
4. How your data is used
Submitted clips are licensed to robotics and AI teams strictly under the terms you agreed to for that clip. We do not sell raw footage outside those terms, and we do not use your content to train models we haven't disclosed to you.
5. On-chain provenance
To give buyers a verifiable record of consent and origin, an anonymized fingerprint of each accepted clip may be anchored on-chain. This record contains no personal information or video content, just a cryptographic reference.
6. Your rights
You can access, export, or delete your account data, and request removal of content from future licensing. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA. Email privacy@inception.training to exercise them.
7. Children
Inception is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account and submit content. Do not record identifiable minors without appropriate, lawful consent.
